Located new equipment shipped to store, did inventory and call 84 Lumber NOC. They performed a standard backup of the old server, when completed I marked all connected cables, and removed the old Dell. Racked and installed new Dell server, brought online, informed the NOC. Tested all POS equipment and office computers with store manager.

Security Camera Outage & IP Camera install
“Belks”
Belks had an outage of two cameras, and also needed new ip camera installed. Discovered bad rg6 connector on both cameras. Replaced coax connectors and tested cameras with Loss Prevention manager. Tested good. Ran cat6 cable to the new office location. Verified all cameras in the Loss Prevention office.

Replace background music speaker

Replaced background music speaker in the Business Dept. Verified volume level with store manager.

Cradle Point service call
“COSTCO”
Responded to a call for a down cradle point located on the roof of store. Worked with support to resolve issue. Tested cable continuity – tested good. Replaced mode plug anyway and reterminated to patch panel. Next I replaced the sim card and rebooted. Cradle point came online, verified with Costco support. They performed speed test.

Weight Scale network outage
“COSTCO”
On this service call the wieght scale located in the Deli was not connected to the network. Removed data jacks out of box and immediately notice damaged and corroded connections. Replaced jack and performed continuity test. Still no connection. Retermenated cable behind patch panel. Performed test again. Tested good. Had Deli manager test the scales. All good.

Register relocation project
“COSTCO”
This was an over night self checkout register move and register relocation project. All new locations needed cat6 cable drops. We ran, tested and terminated eight cat6 cables for each self checkout pos. We also pulled up the existing cables of the remaining registers, waited for the store workers to relocate each register to their permanent location, drop the network cables thru the power poles, retermenate and verify device was online. Informed manager to do a transaction test on all registers.

Downed POS troubleshoot
“Crackerbarrel”
This was a simple network cable test for a down pos. The cable and jack tested good. Apparently there was a Microsoft windows update that was causing problems. Verified with store support. They remoted in and found the problem.
